Over/ Under Watering

Having a consistent watering regime is important to overall tree health. Deeper, more infrequent watering is best for most species of trees and plants. This promotes deeper root growth which promotes greater anchoring making the tree much more stable.

Overwatering and underwatering can have many of the same symptoms, such as browning of the leaves, premature leaf drop, leaf wilting, and stunted shoot growth.

Finding out about our soil is key to understanding how best to keep your trees watered. Sandy soil will require more, while clay will require less. A mix is usually desired. Have an arborist come and evaluate your soil and help you with a watering schedule that will be best for the health of the tree.
